Siobhan & Stuart went for a winter/christmas wedding at The Fennes Bocking in Braintree Essex. They were kindly recommended to me by their bridesmaid Charlotte i shot earlier in the year at Friern Manor.
This is s great venue for wedding weddings due to hard ground outside so the grass can be avoided if wet and theres also loads of rooms inside for photographs if needed, though we always try to take all photographs outside as long as its not raining so we can use the venue and grounds for photographs.
siobhan opted for a vintage style evening dress that was very unusal and then she wore a fur shrug when outside to keep her warn which we highly recommend that add texture to the bride giving that warm look on a cold day! Theres nothing worse than a blue shivering bride.
They chose the day of Stuarts Birthday for their wedding so was a double celebration on their big day. We included this on a chalkboard in the photographs along with other props they wanted to use inc santa hats and tinsel for thank you cards. Siobhan & Stuart were a very fun couple and wanted lots of props and fun shots they were always smiling and laughing.
It was really important for Siobhan to have an image of her daughter looking up at her dress wishing her be like her mummy one day as the image shows below.
With winter wedding you dont tend to get those blue skies with fluffy clouds but white or grey cold skies so we decided to add some in for the couple to brighten the images.
Siobhan wanted a very subtle Christmas theme to her wedding so hired in a Michael buble cover singer that i recommended and oh boy did he get people going! Adam Chandler is amazing and he sang during the meal and had people up dancing by the deserts starting the evening early!
