Roald Dahl Theme Wedding – London Route Master Transport

We had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Emma & Richard last September ceremony was at High Beech church in Epping Forrest.  Its a lovely little church hidden in the Epping Forrest which isnt local to us however we had actually photographed at this church back in 2010 so we knew the church.  Reception was at one of our favourite venues Mulberry House with its stunning lake, bridge, rooms & staff.

Emma & Richards Wedding stood out from the start as Emma knew exactly what she wanted and was very organised.  With her amazing Jimmy Choo shoes she was set to go.  On the day every things seemed to run smoothly until Emma put her dress on, as Emma pulled up her dress disaster struck in the form of bright red lipstick on the collar of her dress! I suddenly got hot sweats as I was the one who noticed it first, then had to point it out to her… Every one went quiet.  But then calmly I made suggestions on how to fix the situation…try a wet wipe I said no chemicals non abrasive! no didn’t work, make-up remover wipes.. no still there!

Right options are putting a stitch in the dress the hide the red mark in a small pleat or is there a small brooch in mums jewellery box? The dress was plain so it would work.  Luckily her mum had a small thin brooch that worked perfectly! It covered the mark & looked part of the dress, It was even something old & borrowed! & Emma was happy.

Emma arrived to the church in a lovely vintage while the groom arrived on an old red route master bus with the guests.

After the ceremony Emma Joined Richard & the guests on the bus and headed to mulberry house.

We managed some lovely fun photos with the Red london Route Master outside the house.  We then took Emma & Richard around the beautiful grounds at Mulberry followed by photos in their wedding breakfast room with their Roald Dahl theme / vintage layout.  With a Willy Wonker candy buffet, and all tables named after books by Roald Dahl & they even had their favours as giant candy lolly pops!   They had hired vintage china from Boho Vintage china to finish off the vintage theme.

During the speeches Emma’s mum revealed her present to the couple a fantastic 3 week honeymoon to some amazing destinations for certainly a holiday to remember.  Very lucky couple indeed.  In the evening they had a home made photo booth with props and their own camera set up.  We finished with some out door shoots in front of mulberry house.  Emma & Richard collected their Album right before Christmas and arrived with an amazing 3 tier present in red with ribbon all around the 3 boxes were filled with luxury treats to say thank you.  What a lovely thoughtful gift indeed.
