Weddings at Newland Hall -Essex

In August we shot a wedding that was very Sentimental for me…It was the church i got married in 9 years ago & the same reception venue too…St Michaels Church Galleywood & Newland Hall in Roxwell…It was also sentimental for other reasons too:

It was the sister of a bride I had shot a few years previous.  Both sisters were very close and decided on the same church & venue too…Louise said “I helped my sister plan her weddingand made all the choices i would have chosen never thinking I would get married!” Then Steve came along.  The Brides mum was also my Art Teacher from High School,  and was very helpful to help me pass my GCSE Art with a B, when i was heading for a D, which i am truly grateful for.

So it was a true pleasure to be asked to photograph not One but both of  daughters weddings!  I guess they were so happy first time around they trusted me with their second daughters wedding too… So to say the least I was nervous.  But they were so happy and welcoming to me it made me feel at ease.

Louise & Steven were such a happy couple with their own quirky things they would do to make each other laugh it wasn’t hard to make them smile.

The day proved to be a lovely sunny day though Louise was prepared with her wellies as she was determined to go down to the lakes at Newland Hall no matter what the weather.  She made use of them and wore them anyway even though she didn’t need too and they made lovely bright images to include in her album.

Heres a few pages from their wedding album:
