Louise and Gavin were married at Leez Priory on the 20th September 2014.
Louise and 3 bridesmaids Helen, Kate and Robin not forgetting flowergirl Beau, began bridal preparation at Leez Priory itself. We captured some lovely reportage photographs of Louise and the older bridesmaids getting ready in the morning, there were lots of very smiley face as you would expect and as always during this time we captured images of all those small personal items too, for instance on this day we had the “I do” diamonte embellishments to the bottom of Louise’s shoes, the personalised bridal coat hanger which had Mrs Miles carved into it and of course all of the ladies with their back to us looking round at the camera wearing their personalised dressing gowns!
We caught up with Gavin, Best Man and 4 Ushers outside Leez Priory for some fun photographs just before the ceremony, the men looked so smart in their Grey morning suits all standing together, we even caught them all having a sneaky pint to settled their nerves!
It was a lovely sunny day in September and the ceremony took place outside, with Louise walking down the Red carpet Aisle to meet Gavin who looked proudly on, the ceremony was lovely and it was so nice to have a group of violinists playing afterwards.
We took our bride and groom off for their traditional wedding photographs around the lovely grounds, Leez Priory buildings really do make such an impact and a great backdrop for photographs. Gavin and Louise enjoyed using our wedding props during this time, we used our vintage photo frame, Mr and Mrs signs, happily ever after board, our vintage hessian bunting… and Gavin seemed to have bought his own prop along.. a pint of beer!
As the weather was good to us this day we were able to take the guests out onto the large Greenery area for the group shots, we had a great high window to use and looking down on the guests with a little instruction we were able to create our love heart shape group shot which is always so stunning and makes a great album image with the Bride and Groom in the centre.
After catching some lovely candid shots of the guests laughing, chatting and smiling we captured all of the reception table details, stationary, flowers, cake and anything else we could spot, to ensure you have memories of all those little details that can quite easily be forgotten in years to come.
We stayed to cover evening photography for Louise and Gavin, there are always lots of photograph opportunities during this time, we captured the cutting of the cake with a sword! our couples first dance, the guests dancing away on the dance floor, the band playing on stage and the grand finale of fireworks outside!
Capturing a firework display at a wedding is always great fun and we always catch amazing shots full of colour, one of our favourites is to take the shot from behind with the bride and grooms backs to us looking up at the sky with a huge colourful firework in action!
