Kelly & Kevin were a couple whos ive got to know over the years and they originally had chosen another photographer who shot her sister wedding, but her sister was not very happy with the photographers result because they shot for their portfolio and no for the couples memories like i so missing key shots.
Kelly was hesitant to come see me and she asked questions like would i take a photo of the bride with her father “well off course i said you wouldnt need to ask that” but this is sometimes missed by photographers.
Anyways Kelly and Kevin had a Police theme wedding because they met in custody Kevin in a police officer and kelly was a special police officer.
They decided to use police props in photographs for fun quirky shots that they felt reflected their personality, we also had to involve disney theme as Kelly is a massive Disney fan and Kevin popped the question at disney outside the castle while her sister also had a man on one knee the other side of the castle at the same time! Well planned men!
Kelly had hidden Mickeys all around her venue in the flowers on the cake and under her shoes for example. Kelly put on facebook the night before her wedding help my cakes fallen apart! so i called her and said how can i help? she said cake maker had delivered the cake the night before and assembled it too the night before in a hot hotel! This is normal the morning of the wedding.
The cake didnt have the proper structure for a 3 tier sponge cake! so it toppled over! So i said right its not fixable then we need something else we can get a cake thats a display one from a ckae maker thats fake or we can get an acrylic stand and fill it with donuts or cakes or brownies and DONUTS was the answer after all they were Police Officers! so i put a plea out on facebook for an acylic stand and Faith Gruel a florist said have mine happy to help! so i met Faith early the next morning and we sent family the asda for donuts and we used parts of the old cake and the top tied and a bit of gipp to dress the donuts and it looked better than the original! Total Wedding Saver!
