Katie and Dave were married at their local church St Peter & St Pauls in Black Notley followed by the reception held at Ivy Hill Hotel in Chelmsford.
Katie’s wedding preparation took place at the reception venue Ivy Hill Hotel in Chelmsford with her 3 bridesmaids, Natalie, Helen, Katie and 3 flower girls Betsy,Alice and Emily. Ivy Hill has a pretty garden and as the weather was so nice we took the girls outside for some individual shots of Katie and group shots with the Bridesmaids in the sun.
We met the guys at the church and captured some great shots of Dave with his 3 best men! we took this time to relax them a little and have some fun with the photographs we had them jumping in the air, all standing behind Dave each poking around the sides and of course the more traditional shots shaking hands and shots of Dave on his own with the church nestled in the background.
Our newly weds hired a Rolls Royce for their wedding transport to take them from the church to the reception venue and we were sure to capture some photographs of Katie and Dave both inside and outside the car, this made for some great images.
Back at the Ivy we found some pretty areas for the traditional couple shots, the old brick wishing well worked really well with our couple standing together and either side of it, we also used this area for our wedding props which Katie and Dave really enjoyed! a lovely little pond was nearby which we made use of by having the newly weds sitting down together in embrace next to it, our parasol also made for some beautiful photographs when we had Katie posing in the greenery area next to Dave.
A great photo opportunity of the day was of the Red double decker route master bus hired for the day, we had great fun with our couple really incorporating the bus into the photographs, the bright red really does make a great impact in the photographs and our couple really looked as if they were enjoying themselves.
We stayed for evening coverage on this day which was great as we got to capture the first dance, cutting of the cake and of course all the guests having a boogie with the nee Mrs and Mrs! great memories to look back on.
Here are some images from the day..
