Karen and David’s wedding at Mulberry House, Ongar

Karen and David were married on the 31st October 2014 at Mulberry House in Ongar.

We begun our day with Karen, 3 bridesmaids and the 2 flowers girls in the Bridal Suite, it was a lovely to see Karen so relaxed and taking everything in her stride.  We enjoyed taking our time to capture all the pretty personal items, including Karen’s diamonte toed Converse shoes, the personalised Diamonte Bride and Mother of the Bride vest tops, and the beautiful Cerise Pink and Cream flowers.

Making our way outside we met with David, Father of the Groom and the 3 best men for some group shots, we loved their matching Cerise socks and had to get shot of them together showing them off!

It was a lovely ceremony full of happy smiles, Karen looked amazing walking down the aisle whilst Tim from PianoDJ played our couples choice of song, you can find more details of the amazing PianoDJ who we often see at our weddings on www.pianodj.co.uk

We know Mulberry House extremely well, and know all the best spots to capture our newly weds for their traditional shots. On this lovely day we captured some images around the beautiful vintage wishing well, along side the pretty Lake, around the beautiful gardens and some amazing shots on the gorgeous wooden bridge that sit over the lake.   Our wedding props were also used by Karen and David on the day which made for some great images we particularly love the heart shpaed blackboard with the date of the wedding on.

We stayed with our newly weds to cover the evening, here we captured the cutting of the cake, the first dance which looked amazing with the confetti cannon erupting down on Karen and David half way through the dance, this made for amazing photographs.  As well as this we took many reportage photographs of the guests which are so lovely to look back on seeing everyone enjoying themselves.

Lisa & Chris Compen’s wedding at St Margarets Church, Bowers Gifford & Channels.

Lisa and Chris were married on the 10th October 2014 at St Margarets Church, Bowers Gifford followed by the reception held at Channels in Little Waltham.

We started our day with Lisa and her 3 bridesmaids in Benfleet.   We captured some lovely shots of Lisa with the ladies in the garden, Lisa looked great in her Ivory wedding gown and complimented by her pretty Autumnal deep Red and Orange bouquet.  The bridesmaid dresses also looked fabulous in Bright Red and really stood out with the greenery of the garden in the background, they all had lovely Autumnal Red posies to compliment their dresses and match Lisa’s too.

We travelled to St Margarets Church to meet Chris, the 2 Best Men and 2 Ushers.  They all looked very dapper in their dark Grey morning suits with Ivory waistcoats and Red cravats and button holes, here we caught some great shots of the men standing together outside the church, and walking towards us full of smiles.

After the ceremony we traveled back to Channels for the reception, whilst the guests relaxed with a drink or two we took Chris and Lisa off for their traditional wedding photographs around the grounds.  We know Channels extremely well and know all the fabulous spots to capture great photographs.

We started off by the lake at the front of the venue with Chris and Lisa standing next to their hired Cream vintage wedding car, we set ourselves back across the other side of the lake so we can capture our newly weds, the car and also their reflections in the lake, this always makes for a stunning shot.  We also took Lisa and Chris to the sweeping driveway for some romantic walking shots, to the L shaped barn for some more lovely photographs, we particularly love the dropping pose, with Chris leaning into Lisa and Lisa leaning right back held in Chris’s arms, just beautiful!

Back at the drinks reception we took our group shots and some fun shots of the bridesmaids and groomsmen, they loved taking part in the bridesmaids pushing their posies out towards the camera with Lisa and the guys jumping as high as they could with Chris behind them.

Claire and Scott Carruthers wedding at The Reid Rooms, Margaret Roding.

Claire and Scott were married on the 1st October 2014 at The Reid Rooms in Margaret Roding.

We begun our day at The Reid Rooms for bridal preparation with Claire, Maid of Honor Jess, 2 bridesmaids (Claires sisters) Danielle and Andrea and Claires mother.  We took some lovely natural photographs of all the ladies getting ready and of course all of Claire’s important items, we just had to capture those Irregular Choice shoes which were Navy Blue and full of multi coloured Cherries and White polka dots next to the Deep Autumn Red coloured bouquet.

After the prep we made our way outside to capture some lovely shots of Claire by the lake in the Autumn sunshine with her bridesmaids and family, Claire was even happy to take a stroll through the adjoining field holding the bottom of her dress looking out to the distance.  These shots look amazing and can really pay off if you have this type of setting and are willing to give it ago on your big day!

Further along at the venue we caught up with Scott, Usher Ollie and Best Man Ryan, we had great fun with the guys and their blow up guitars given us a real good rock for the camera before the ceremony, they even popped their shades on for some great “Blues Brothers” type photographs the photographs look great and you can really see they were having a great time.

After the ceremony we took Claire and Scott for their traditional photographs, on the way we just had to capture Claire and Scott with their Spaniel who came along to see them at the reception drinks!  Our newly weds were happy to walk around the grounds to have some photographs captured behind the lake in front of the manor house whist we shot from the other side.. so pretty.  We also used our wedding props here, on this occasion we used our hessian Mr & Mrs bunting, Just Married chalkboards and Love letters.

Before returning to the guests we took Claire and Scott over to the hay barn and captured some stunning shots of our couple sitting on the bales having a romantic kiss and chat to each other, the photographs were so effective and really brought that country feel into the images which is just the type of venue The Reid Rooms is.  We must not
forget we also captured Claire and Scott driving up the sweeping drive in a vintage topless car!

Just before the wedding breakfast we also captured some real fun photographs with all the male attendants alongside Scott.  The guys all had different superhero tshirts on underneath their formal shirts which they unbuttoned and burst them open looking up into the sky, the family dog even wore a handmade jet pack on his back.. what great fun!

Amelia and Timothy Harrison’s wedding at Leez Priory

Amelia and Timothy were married at Leez Priory on the 29th September 2014

The bridal preperation took place within Leez Priory along with Bridesmaid Ali and 1 yr old page boy Obi who looked just adorable in his little Grey pinstriped suit! we captured some beautiful shots of Amelia, one of our favourites during this time was the siloutte image of Amelia standing looking out of the small leaded window with the wedding dress flowing behind in all its glory, it looked just stunning.

The ceremony took place inside the beautiful coach house, it looks a picture inside with a long Red carpet for brides to make their grand entrance, high ceilings and beautiful old beams, on this day Amelia had flower petals scattered along either side of the Red carpet it looked so pretty.

After the ceremony we took Amelia and Timothy around the grounds to capture some shots with the stunning turreted buildings in the background, the grounds here are stunning and give a real romantic feel of a castle type setting.  As well as all the amazing brick turreted buildings we were lucky enough to have other places and items to make use of for the photographs including pretty walkways, a beautiful lake, vintage benches and some gorgeous ornate gates to photograph Amelia standing by and walking through and to capture that gorgeous dress and train from behind.

Sandra and Dominic Harvey’s wedding at St Andrew’s Church, Boreham & Channels.

Sandra and Dominic were married on the 27th September 2014 at Boreham Church,nr Chelmsford followed by the reception held at Channels in Little Waltham.

It was another lovely day in September, after photographing the bridal preperation with Fiona and 3 bridesmaids we made a very short journey to the church to meet with Dominic the 2 best men and Ushers.  We captured some great shots of the men together who all looked so smart in their matching Grey morning suits and of course the groom for some single shots with the church in the background, Dominic looked just the gentleman with his cane in hand!

After a lovely church service, we took the opportunity to capture some shots of our newly weds in the church grounds, it was such a pretty church we were sure to get as much of it in the images with Fiona and Matt as possible.

Once back to Channels we took Fiona and Matt for their traditional wedding photographs around the grounds, we started with the pretty lake at the entrance of Channels and photographed our lovely couple in front of the lake whilst we shot from the other side, the images looked great with Fiona and Matt side by side with the two Cream hired Rolls Royce gleaming next to them.

We captured great shots of Fiona and Matt at the beautiful L shaped barn and used our wedding props to bring an extra bit of fun into the photographs, on this day we used our “she said yes” “love is blind” blackboards, our love letters and vintage photo frame, Fiona also bought along a thank you sign to use to create an image for their thank you cards after the wedding.

Back at the reception room we captured all the small details that can easily be forgotten after the big day, we say small but on this occasion we had something a little larger to capture which was the 7 tier wedding cake along with a smaller 2 tier to the side it was stunning, along side this eye catcher was also a full table of sweets for the guests to enjoy!
