Xi and Rob’s wedding at Woodhall Manor, Ipswich

Xi and Rob were married on the 22nd April 2015 at Woodhall Manor in Ipswich.

Woodhall Manor is a lovely venue out of our usual area so it was nice to photograph somewhere a little different on this day.

We captured some lovely images during bridal preparation including some of Xi’s amazing shoes not just one but two pairs! one pair of Christian Louboutin and one pair of Jimmy Choo! Xi opted for the Louboutin’s with the white bridal dress and when she made an outfit change in the evening into a Chinese Red dress with the Jimmy Choo’s.

The theme for Xi and Rob’s wedding was the colour Red and Cats (a little reference back to Xi’s heritage) which was a lovely touch.

During the afternoon photographs we had lots of fun capturing some amazing photographs, Xi loves to chase ducks and we just so happened to find some at the venue to do just that, it made for some really fun photographs reflected our couples personalities.

In the evening they had a bird of prey display for the guests entertainment.

The stunning photos were rustic bright and happy and were done by the amazing florist “Shrinking Violet”.

Here is some images of their day:

Charity Fundraising for Sick Childrens Trust & The Rosie Hospitals Neo Natal Unit @ Cambridge

Over the last 6 months S E Photography have been fundraising for 2 charites close to our hearts, after the Owner Stacey England 3rd son Noah was born in December 2014.

Noah was born at Broomfield Hospital but suffered a complicated birth and had to go to addenbrooks Rosie Hospital for cooling.

The care was outstanding in the neo natal unit and the sick childrens trust was there for them when they needed it the most and gave them a place to stay with Noah while he was treated.

As these two charities were so amazing we decided this care was only possible because of people that go out there and do fundraising.

As a company we have supported  Cancer research uk for many years and this year decided that these charities needed our help.

After many Facebook posts selling items from the studio, to selling a family portrait day where we had 6 families in 5 hours come into the studio for a teddy bears picnic with their children.

We also had staff making taggies which are baby comforters and selling them to clients and at mum2mum markets for £5 each but seeing them sell for as much as £40 each. Plus lots more.

We managed to raise over £1200 for The Sick Children Trust and over £1000 for The Rosie’s neo natal unit.

We will continue in 2016 to fund raise for the sick childrens trust we have lots of different ideas planned, and you never know you need this charity until a friend or family member has a sick child or even yourself.

We hope to also give away a wedding for them too so if you know someone with a budget for their wedding and its a simple short wedding then email us and we can see if this offer suits them.

Many thanks to all that donated and supported us over a manic 6 months.

Victoria & Chris’s wedding at Gosfield Hall

Victoria and Chris were married on the 18th April 2015 at the stunning Gosfield Hall.

The beginning of our day saw Chris patiently waiting for his wedding surprise from Victoria, he was more than surprised and over the moon with the classic Mustang he would be arriving in to the ceremony, a great touch from Victoria and of course and great photo opportunity for us with the Groom and Groomsmen!

The ceremony had already been planned to take place outside in the grounds but due to the weather, a last minute change and the ceremony took place inside which was equally as stunning!

We had lots of beautiful places to use around the grounds here at Gosfield Hall, but one particular place our Bride was happy to be was underneath the beautiful Pink magnolia tree having some images taken with her new Husband, this was really special for Victoria as the tree reminded her of her late Nan.

In the evening there was a photo booth for the guests to enjoy, but slightly different to the norm this was a taxi photo booth! a fantastic idea and rarely seen so the guests and Bride and Groom were in their elements having fun with the props, we caught some great fun images of the goings on! great memories to look back on.

To finish the evening off the guests all had sparklers outside which made for some great photographs!

Rebecca and Nic’s wedding Smeetham Hall Barn, Suffolk.

Rebecca and Nic were married on the 4th April 2015 at Smeethan Hall Barn in Suffolk.

It was lovely to have a venue out of the area again today to photograph our lovely couple Rebecca and Nick special day, this is the first time in a long time we revisited this beautiful venue.

Rebecca’s bridal preparation took place in a stunning barn on site owned by Kentwall Hall, we took some stunning shots of Rebecca before the ceremony in the grounds, the old cobbled walls and lush Green gardens were the perfect backdrop.  We also met with Nic and the Groomsmen in the venue gardens afterwards and found a lovely old brick barn with a Bright Green wooden door it really stood out in the photographs and again made a great backdrop for the Grooms photographs, we particularly love the image we captured of all 6 men lined up with one leg crossed over the other and their hands in their pockets it worked so well!

The ceremony took place in an amazing beamed barn the photographs look stunning of Rebecca and Nick taking their vows in this amazing space.

After the official ceremony we took our couple off around the gardens, making use of the beautiful lake (which being Spring was lined with beautiful Daffodils!), old oak trees and sweeping pathways were we captured a lovely walking shot of our new Mr and Mrs!

Gemma & Jason’s wedding at Channels, Little Waltham

Gemma and Jason were married on the 3rd April 2015 at Channels in Little Waltham.

Channels is a wonderful venue where we are also recommended wedding photographers, we were happy to be photographing Gemma and Jasons special day here today.

We met Gemma in the morning for bridal preparation which took place in the cottage within Channels grounds, it was a little wet outside when we began this day but that didn’t dampen anybody’s spirits we captured some beautiful images of Gemma and the Bridesmaids in the gardens before the ceremony as we did when we met with Jason and the Grooms Men, you wouldn’t even be able to tell that there had been some rain!

The ceremony looked beautiful in Peaches and Cream to match the colour theme of the day, Gemma and Jason looked just the picture standing together taking their vows.

We captured some lovely shots after the ceremony of our new Mr and Mrs around the gardens of Channels, we are lucky here to have such pretty areas to make use of.  We particularly love the old brick barns and White Washed buildings which make for some great backdrops, Gemma also gave us a lovely spin and swoosh of her dress on the sweeping driveway which looked amazing!  and of course we love to add a small piece of the season into the photographs, and we were lucky to have the Bright Yellow Daffodils in full bloom for this lovely Spring day.

Here are some images from the day…
